The Arizona Department of Gaming is taking a stand against offshore gambling operations within the United States, urging the US Department of Justice to take more action to limit their reach.

In a recent move, the Arizona regulator has asked four platforms – Fliff Online Gambling, Thrillzz Mobile Gaming, BettySweeps Casino, and Pulsz Casino – to cease all operations in the state due to breaches of local gambling laws. This enforcement action is part of a broader trend of attorneys general and private sector players pushing for more action against offshore gambling operations in the US.

The Arizona Department of Gaming, a part of the state government responsible for regulating gambling activities within the state, issued a warning to consumers about unlicensed online gaming and gambling platforms. These platforms, according to the regulator, expose users to significant risks such as fraud, identity theft, and financial loss.

The offshore gambling market remains active, despite regulatory actions against it. Some companies on the regulator's blocking list have insisted they are not breaching the law, while others have complied with the orders. Private sector companies such as Xpoint have recently urged for tougher measures against the offshore sector, with industry regulators and anti-money laundering experts advocating for stricter regulations.

Michigan regulators have also placed some companies on a blocking list, but the issue of offshore gambling continues to be a present-day issue for the regulated market in the United States. The Arizona Department of Gaming's latest enforcement action is focused on platforms offering sweepstakes, and it is an example of its efforts to protect consumers from unlicensed gambling activities.

The regulatory crackdown on illegal gambling operators is a nationwide trend, with various states, including Arizona and Michigan, actively targeting these operators. The American Gaming Association estimates that $671 billion is wagered with offshore gambling operators, highlighting the scale of the issue.

The Arizona Department of Gaming's official page published details about the latest enforcement action against unlicensed gambling platforms, underscoring its commitment to maintaining a safe and regulated gambling environment within the state. The department's actions are part of a broader effort to protect consumers and uphold the integrity of the gaming industry in the United States.
