Tragic occurrence in Alabama's ATV park: Two adults from Rome perish, multiple children injured
In a heartbreaking incident, a fatal accident occurred at the Indian Mountain ATV Park near the Alabama-Georgia border. The incident involved a high-speed collision between two ATVs, claiming the lives of two individuals.
According to the Cherokee County Coroner's office, one adult male and one adult female were killed in the accident. The identities of the victims, Marcus Ragland and Ashley Hawkins, have not yet been officially released. However, the GoFundMe created to support Ragland's and Hawkins' families identifies Hawkins as the mother of two of Ragland's children.
Ragland and Hawkins were not alone in the first ATV. Nine individuals were on board, including two adults and seven children. Unfortunately, the female victim was airlifted to the hospital and later passed away. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other three children were transported by ground, while the remaining four were airlifted to different hospitals. No information about the injuries or conditions of the children has been provided at this time.
The other occupants of the first ATV were reported to be unharmed. The incident at the popular ATV park remains under investigation.
